St John's Chapel:
we have liturgies every Wednesday in St. John's Church. St. John's chapel is a a small chapel in the main building and it accommodates about 20 persons.

Saints' Relics:
St. John's chapel contains the relic of St. John the Beloved, St. Mark the Apostle and The founder of the Coptic Orthodox Church , St. George the prince of the martyrs, St. Mina the Wonder, St. Jacob of Heraclia the Martyr, St. Marina the Martyr, St. Marina the Nun, Fr. Abahor the Martyr, Fr. Micheal Ibraham, and Fr. Ibraham the Simple.

What is The Coptic Church?
Copt means “Egyptian”. It comes from the Greek word “Aigyyptos”. This word is from the ancient Egyptian word “Ha-Ka-Ptah”, the house of the spirit Ptah, which is known as the most highly
revered deity in the ancient Egyptian time. When the Arab conquered Egypt,the word “Copt” only meant Egyptians Christian.
St Mark came to Alexandria, Egypt and started preaching Christianity.Some historians said St Mark came to Alexandria in 43 A.D. while others said he came in 60 A.D. Regardless of the year he was
50 years old. St Mark faced a lot of challenges in Alexandria because there were diverse religions and worship. For example, the Greek’s religion has many gods and believes in Zeus. As for the Roman’s religion, they believe in Jupiter. There was also the Jewish’s religion. Furthermore, St Mark faced a lot of philosophies based on these different religions. So he founded the Coptic Orthodox Church or the Church of Alexandria.
What is the Monastic Life?

St Mary is considered as the founder of the monastic life for nuns. During the life of Jesus Christ, many virgins followed him to the cross and these virgins followed and spiritually guided by St. Mary until her departure. St Mary guided them to live the life of prayer and fasting. Some of these virgins lived together monastic life and known as the "Virgins of the Mount of Olives."

St Anthony the Great
"St. Anthony the Great, called " The Father of Monks," was born in central Egypt about A.D.251, the son of peasant farmers who were Christians. In c. 269 he heard the Gospel read in church and applied to himself the words: "Go, sell all that you have and give to the poor and come...." He devoted himself to a life of asceticism under the guidance of a recluse near his village. In c. 285 he went alone into the desert to live in complete solitude. His reputation attracted followers, who settled near him, and in c. 305 he came out his hermitage in order to act their spiritual father. Five years later he again retired into solitude. He visited Alexandria at least twice, once during the persecution of Christians and again to support the Bishop Athanasuis against heresy. He died at the age of one hundred and five. His life was written by St. Athanasius and was very influential in spreading the ideals of monasticism the Christians World."
