Iteru: Fluid Presence – Collective Drawing & Movement Workshops

Join artist-in-residence Katherine Toukhy for a workshop engaging process-based drawing and movement, in conjunction with Iteru. Iteru is a community-sourced art piece that centers BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and people of color) residents to explore their physical movements and sensory knowledge of native plants to discover the rhythms and shapes that bring us together and express change, right now. What is the visual symbiosis between plant forms and human forms? How can we co-create spaces of trust, fun, and freedom to let our bodies move to their own impulses? What stories do our physical movements tell us about our resistance and thriving?
