Sasser’s Glass Works Inc. was established in the fall of 1948. John Byron Sasser and Littleton Albert Sasser started the company. Prior to that John Byron Sasser worked at French Mirror & Glass in Orlando in the 1930's. Littleton Albert was a policeman in WPB in the 1930's. They decided to open Sasser's and asked their brother Perry Joel Sasser to come and work with them. Perry was at that time working at a glass company in Miami. They had Byron B.Sasser and Edgar Joel Sasser, the sons of John Byron Sasser, sweeping and polishing the floors and washing and polishing the trucks when they were 6 or 7 years old. They then bought the business from their dad and worked until their retirement. At that time business was handed down to 3rd generation Sheri and Jeff Sasser.
